Caught Up by Navessa Allen
Ok this book was FILTHY🥵🔥 and I loved every last second of it! I might have liked this one more than the 1st in the series!

Ok so here's what I loved:
1. Lauren being an advocate for all sex workers. Fuck yeah! You go girl! 💁🏾♀️👏🏽
2. Nico going above and beyond to provide any kind of protection be could for the last decade.🫶🏽
3. The acceptance of Lauren's lifestyle and not making any attempts to thwart her from what she wants to pursue. (A MANNNNNN!! 🙌🏾)
4. Nico being her 1st sub >>>>
5. I LOVED THE VELVET!! 🥵🔥❤️
6. I loved how protective and supportive Ryan and Taylor were with whatever Lauren decided to do.
7. I loved Nico's mom.🥹❤️
8. Nonna was possibly my favorite lololol she had me cracking up! 🤣🤣
9. I loved that the brothers even though they didn't always see eye to eye were all on the same page after the family dinner.

Here are a few things I loved:
Ok so I LOVED FIONN which is saying something because the Kane's could get it 🥵 (ALL THREEEE OF EM AND THEIR WIVES TOO!! I SAID WHAT I SAID!💁🏾♀️) but anywho 😅🤣 I loved Fionn's interpersonal perception skills. I loved that he had to take some moments to gather his thoughts. I loved the letters. I loved the tattoo (i wonder if he ever explained that though? Idk but I'ma guess he did). I loved that all the Kane boys got something tattooed on them about their other halves!!! I YEARNNNNNN I PINEEEEEE!! I loved Rose and her little manic ass! Lololol I was giggling and kicking my feet throughout this book so much!! I adored the scene with the Suture Sisters lolol I'm cackling all over again just thinking about this. The Suture Sisters reminded me of my Aunties! 🤣🤣 I think that made it even funnier for me lololol This was soooooo good! I highly recommend this trilogy!

Lights Out by Navessa Allen
This was a good read! Aly said "Kinky sex with a hot, faceless man who didn't speak? Sign me the hell up. I'd had about enough of men's voices lately." and you know what, she hadn't been wrong yet!! Lolol but on a lighter note, I loved Josh and his nonexistent boundaries. I loved the way Aly accepted all of him after a minor panic attack lolol i caught myself giggling one too many times and Josh's dumb jokes.

The Mistake by Elle Kennedy
This was a cute. I'm glad I finally got to read it. The wait on this book was forever long lol😅 it didn't pull me in as much as the 1st book in the series. But let's get into it. Ok so:
1. John Jermaine Marshawn Logan has A LOT of insecurities to work through because baby the projections were THERE! Soooo hopefully we see that progress in the next few books! Fingers crossed!
2. Almost all of the issues presented in this book could've been solved with clear communication and addressing the issues head on but I digress.
3. The love was there! And I was proud of him for holding out for Grace.

Leather & Lark by Brynne Weaver
Maybe Dark Romantic Comedies are where I'm supposed to be lolol 😅🤣 this was soooooo good! Lachlan Kane is 10/10. No notes. 🥵🔥 I love a broody, protective, asshat. Honestly, give me 5 of em. Lark and her ray of sunshine self was great but I think her relationship with Auntie Ethel was what sealed the deal for me. Auntie Ethel and her rampallion self was the highlight of this book for me! Lolololol she stayed scheming about something lolol. ❤️

Butcher & Blackbird by Brynne Weaver
Ok I devoured this book lolol I am a Rom-Com girlypop through and through but a DARK ROMANCE COMEDY?! Wheewwww amazing! Literally standing ovation. This was everything I never knew I needed lol i was giggling, kicking my feet, and smiling all over myself while simultaneously being grossed the hell out! Lololol while it didn't necessarily "ruin" cookies and cream ice cream for me, i do have questions about that flavor profile lololol 😅
The biggest takeaway from this is Rowan Kane knows how to YEARN y'all! The pining was THERE!! And if there is one thing I love, it is a man that can yearn! 🥵🔥

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling
🎧📖 - Another full cast audio edition added to my HP⚡️collection! There is just something about hearing Dumbledore's confession at the end of this book and the hurt in Harry's voice over Sirius. My heart shattered! Kiera Knightly was an amazing Umbridge! I disliked her so much lololol Hagrid, Moody, and Sirius' voice actors are probably my favorite! SO SO GOOD! I highly recommend the full cast versions to anyone wanting an immersive HP experience! ❤️⚡️

Self-Healing Isn't Pretty by Mira Rowen
Ok so the past few years have been hard as hell and I have lots of things to grieve from literal people, to multiple relationships, some unspoken expectations, etc. I've heard bottling shit up only makes matters worse lolol. 😅 soo I figured now was a good a time as any to start sorting my shit out. This book was very eye opening an I've caught myself subconsciously acting on some of the suggestions provided in this book already. It's like Kintsugi but for our emotions. ✨️

Ok so this was such a cute quick read! Think of The Deal but with a Black FMC (10/10!! Representation matters people!)

Here are a few things I loved:
1. Finn's honesty after he decided to embrace the Finn now.
2. Finn's body description!!!! Listen I know everybody wants a chiseled abs kinda guy, but honeyyyy one of those solid men with a little extra meat on there babyyyyy 🥵🥵🥵 gimme 3 of em right now lolol iykyk!
3. I've always been indifferent to grumpy x sunshine dynamics but I think I get it now. Lolol
4. I loved the guys! I super loved Henny!
5. Ok Naomi and Celeste had the cutest sister sister thing going on.
6. I loved that Finn supported Naomi emotionally! No matter what the emotion was he was completely onboard with it being expressed in a healthy safe manner. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!! I PRESENT TO YOU, A MAN!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
7. I completely understand how it took Naomi years to work through her grief after losing her mother and what those feelings were like. All of the feels there.

Seeking Persephone by Sarah M. Eden
This was a very cute clean romance. I devoured the 1st season of Seeking Persephone and needed to read the book immediately lol I would have loved to see their relationship continue to bloom in the book and in the series. I might have to read the next books in the series to learn that though lol ok so here we go:
🚨🚨SEEKING PERSEPHONE SPOILERS AHEAD!! 🚨🚨 LITERALLY STOP READING NOW IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK OR WATCHED SERIES AND WANT TO BE SURPRISED!! (or be hardheaded if you want to, do you boo! But don't say I didn't warn ya!) 🚨🚨
1. All of their insecurities could have been worked through had they actually TALKED TO ONE ANOTHER! Why must we refuse to communicate until the last chapter? SPEAK FREELY CHILD, I BEG!
2. I loved that he got the opportunity to learn about his mother's side of the story. She's still not my favorite person by any means but at least she cleared the air.
3. Harry and Artemis were some of my favorites lol they aren't cutting corners. They're getting straight to the point. I love to see it.
4. I loved that Persephone was willing to be brave and try. She did her best and she didn't back down. And I respect that.
5. That man with the bacon would've gotten more than the gibblet fooling with me lolololol but to each his own.
6. There were parts of this book that had me kicking my feet and giggling lolol I love a book that can do that! It's like a historical Rom-Com!
7. I think what I loved most is how a Adam learned how to be kind to others, even the staff, in the end.
8. The last scene, he would've come for her no matter how far she'd gone?!? Y'all! That man is in LOVE!
9. I liked that he realized, albeit late as hell, that his father was operating from a place of hurt based on what went down with his mother back in the day.
10. And I especially liked that he refused to go through the same thing is father did. Way to go Kielder!

The Crescent City series (finished!!), Sarah J. Maas
I JUST FINISHED THE CRESCENT CITY SERIES!!
Ok so this was such a great series! I'm reading/re-reading all the Sarah J. Maas books before the release of ACOTAR 6 & 7 in October 2026 and January 2027 with @moms.who.read.dirty's kick ass book club on Fable!! There's a link in her bio on Instagram if you want to join along! We've finished the Throne of Glass series and wrapping up Crescent City, but everyone is welcome to read at their own pace and folks still chime in no matter where you are! It's a great group so shout out to Lanae!! Lol
CRESCENT CITY AND ACOTAR SPOILERS AHEAD!! LITERALLY STOP READING NOW if you haven't read the series and want to be surprised!! (or be hardheaded if you want to, do you boo! But don't say I didn't warn ya!)
If there is one thing for sure and two things for certain, a woman is going to break down the current shitty government system and establish a new better one. Ok, these are the things that stuck with me the most. (Sidenote! My reviews are just streams of conscious thought about the book in no particular order lololol ADHD GirlyPops Unite!!)
1. I loved the crossover from the ACOTAR series! I loved that Nesta was able to form a bond with Bryce's parents.
2. Lydia's boys were so well written lolol the teen angst was THERE honey!! Lolol Also BRANNON?! From the fire line?! So they're related to Aelin Ashryver Galathynius?! And Ruhn is clearly related to Rhysand's line! It's all coming together!
3. Orion Hunter Athalar and Bryce Adelaide Quinlan are UNSTOPPABLE!
4. I loved the trauma bonding (loved the bonding, not the trauma) with Baxian, Hunt, and Ruhn in the dungeons.
5. The Pup is Prime and Pax is the head of the House of Flame & Shadow. Pax successfully making the antidote for the parasites and Lydia literally having all the faith in the world for her sister. Like "I knew she'd figure it out."
6. Jesiba!!! Her story and willingness to make that trade for her competent assistant. I mean, who is over here cutting onions?!?! Wheewwww
7. Jelly Jubilee is REAL! My heart is full!
I love a SJM book! She sure does know how to scratch an itch!
