A junk journal that goes on tour
One journal, lots of crafty hands, and a good long tour. It starts at Nelle's desk, spends two and a half weeks with each person in the circle, and comes home fuller, heavier, and covered in everyone's fingerprints. Then we start the next one.
how it works
The route
- Sign up below. Joining is free. You cover your own supplies and your own shipping, and that is the whole cost.
- Nelle sorts the circles. Sign-ups get grouped into small circles of about eight. You will get an email with your circle, your mailing order, and your dates.
- Your time with the journal. When it lands, it is yours for two and a half weeks, shipping time included. Add pages, tuck in ephemera, leave notes for the hands that come after you. Add to pages, never over them.
- Send it along. Ship to the next person by your due date, with tracking. Tracking is required on every single send, no exceptions. USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate is the recommended way: one price, a sturdy box or envelope, tracking included.
- Log your tracking number. Your reminder email has a link to drop in your tracking number and hand-off date. That is how the circle knows the journal is moving.
- The journal comes home. After the last hop it travels back to Nelle, and the next circle opens.
The fine print, but friendly
- Free to join. Supplies and shipping are yours.
- Tracking on every shipment. No tracking, no send.
- Ship by your due date so nobody's turn gets eaten.
- Your mailing address is shared with one person only: the crafter who ships to you. A PO box is completely fine if you prefer.
on-time perk
